Our focus is on quality sheep shearing. We travel to your farm with professional mobile shearing equipment. We try to make the process as smooth as possible for you and your animals. We do however need your cooperation with some key items before we arrive.
Sheep must be penned up in no more than a 10x10 area before we arrive. Chasing sheep around a field is hard on us and the sheep. It is also a waste of time. I schedule my days expecting to be places on time and having the animals caught when I get there is part of how I schedule my day. There will be a round up fee applied to the bill if I have to help catch animals, or I will not be shearing for you that day and a double trip charge will be applied if I have to return to your farm.
Electricity needs to be available for me to plug into within 50-100 feet of the shearing area. This can be in a form of another extension cord or a generator. I carry at least 50 feet extension cord with me at all times.
The shearing area must be flat. I carry a rubber mat or heavy tarp that will keep the shearing area clean. However if you would like your wool to be free of debris, have the shearing area somewhat cleared and a broom available. We will also need bags to place the wool into once shorn.
Thank you for your cooperation,
Jerry
